Problem Solved (sort of)

With the help of some online research, I found out that it wasn't necessary to install the photo management software to download my photos to the computer. All I need is the USB cable that came with the camera, and the Microsoft software already on the computer does the rest. The user manual doesn't tell you that, though. It leads you to believe you need the software. I also decided to invest today in a 2 GB memory card and reader that will make downloading a lot of photos quicker and even easier.

So without further ado, here are my first digital photos:

Jasper is keeping watch by the computer, while Curry checks out my progress on Santa.

Although the picture problem is solved, I still have a disk drive dilemma. The drive doesn't seem to be able to read CDs with software data on them. I can play DVDs, so it's not completely shot. Luckily, I still have a few months left on my service agreement. I'm just happy that I can play with my new toy and put some pictures online.

More photos to come tomorrow of wips and some past finishes.
